- Assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Participate in continuous education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Candidate Qualifications and Requirements
Qualified candidates for the OR/PACU RN Per Diem position should possess the following:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Illinois.
- Experience in perioperative nursing, particularly in the OR and PACU settings.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and post-operative care protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including on an as-needed basis.
